Our development site is located on Park Road in South Oshawa – this is east of the Gold Point Wildlife Reserve. We’re working closely with the City of Oshawa and the Conservation Authority to maintain, protect and improve the monarch butterfly habitat during the construction of our project, with a wildlife biologist on-site to oversee habitat restoration and ensure no disruption to butterflies’ migration patterns.

We are also enhancing both the North and the South sides of the Waterfront Trail with native tree plantings for roosting butterflies, invasive species management and increasing diversity of flower species preferred by monarchs.
